In Jan 2019, my family and I experienced a horrible house fire that left us homeless with limited options. We only had left the clothes on our backs. My old home, CNY was the best place to start over. The number of opportunities and infrastructure in Syracuse made it the ideal location. Nonetheless, we struggled as many other constituents have in District 15.

I was shoulder-to-shoulder with my fellow neighbors at 421 Montgomery street collecting Public Assistance. We viewed this time as a helping hand-up and not a handout. I was able to find employment and leave public assistance in less than a year. However, we did not own a car and had to rely on public transportation. I was commuting 2 hours each way to get to Clay, NY for work. I know firsthand the struggles of public transportation in our area, along with CNY life on Welfare.

Fast forward 4 years later, I'm an experienced local entrepreneur and tech industry salesman, clearing the path of success that others can replicate. My goal is to inspire others to be successful and lead as an example. I plan as your future Legislator to remove all barriers and pitfalls, and to enhance the journey to success and make it accessible to all. Vote Mo Moodie for County Legislator District 15!
